Jimmie’s exploits did not stop on the football field. He was a four-time SCAC Champion in the javelin. Jimmie held the SCAC conference record for several years and still holds the second-farthest throw in SCAC history. He remains the current Rhodes school record holder with a throw of 196 feet 9 inches.

Jimmie was a three-time NCAA National Qualifier in the javelin, placing 11th in 1994, and was chosen as a member of the 15th anniversary SCAC Track and Field Team.

Jimmie was a true student-athlete, graduating cum laude with a GPA of 3.67. He was involved in many activities on campus, including the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society. He participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Adopt-a-Friend program.

Rhodes is honored to induct Jimmie F. Glorioso into the Rhodes Athletic Hall of Fame on this 30th day of September, 2023.
