Jessie Hunt is one of the most decorated Rhodes Women's Track and Field athletes of all time, and among the most dominate athletes in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship history. She was twice named SCAC female Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2001 and 2002, and her 60.5 points scored in the '01 SCAC Track and Field Championships are the second-most ever scored in SCAC Championship Meet history. Jessie also scored 53.5 and 55 points at the '00 and '02 Championships, giving her three of the top five scoring totals in conference history.

In the 2002 SCAC Track and Field Championships, Jessie led the Lynx to the SCAC title, winning the javelin, triple jump, high jump, 100 meter hurdles, and was a member of the winning 400 meter relay team. Her 2001 SCAC Championship long jump of 18 '1" is still third best in SCAC history.

Jessie is currently the school record holder in the high jump, javelin, distance medley relay, and the heptathlon. She is a 14-time conference champion, an 18-time SCAC All Conference performer, and a three-time NCAA national qualifier (twice in the heptathlon and once in the high jump). During her junior year, Jessie earned All-American status, finishing fourth in the heptathlon at the Division III Track & Field National Championships.

Jessie was also an outstanding basketball player for the Lynx. Joining the team during her junior and senior years, she helped the Lynx to 17-8 and 15-10 records during the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. Leading the team in rebounds during her senior year, Jessie was named to All-SCAC.
