  • SET UP
  • Rhodes capped their regular season with a run through the SAA conference tournament. The Lynx were then selected to host one of the opening round pods for the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament. Rhodes will welcome Mary Hardin Baylor and East Texas Baptist from Texas, as well as Webster University from Missouri.

  • #19 Rhodes (23-2, 12-0 SAA) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx were tested in the SAA semi-final before finally defeating Centre in overtime. They then handled Oglethorpe in the championship game with a 77-61 win. Rhodes boasts three of the five selections for 1st Team All-SAA in A'Niya Lagarde, Catherine Althoff, and Alli Mayeux. Mayeux was also named the SAA Player of the Year, while head coach Rodney Rogan was selected as the Coach of the Year. The Lynx are outscoring opponents 76.3-60.7, and are grabbing 46.9 rebounds per game which is 19th most in the country. Rhodes moved up to #19 in the most recent WBCA Coaches Poll.

  • East Texas Baptist (20-5, 15-3 ASC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tigers began the season as the #2 team in the country, but were upset by the then unranked Rhodes Lynx at their place, 88-82. Both teams have undergone changes since that November game. ETBU played a strong schedule that included wins over ranked opponents Mary Hardin-Baylor and Hardin-Simmons. The Tigers average 68.5 points per game and allow only 53.3. They do not have a single player who averages more than 10 points per game, but they have a deep roster with ten players who played more than 300 minutes this year.

  • Mary Hardin-Baylor (22-4, 18-1 ASC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Crusaders played a similar schedule to ETBU, and also had a showdown with Rhodes earlier this year. Mary Hardin-Baylor took the first game of the season on an Ashley Faux bucket with 13 seconds to go to defeat the Lynx. They dropped their next two games, and then went on a 20-game winning streak before dropping games to East Texas Baptist and UT-Dallas. The Crusaders average 69.9 points per game and allow 61.3. Arieona Rosborough and Faux are the team's leading scorers at 11.3 and 10.9 ppg, respectively.

  • Webster (25-0, 14-0 SLIAC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Gorloks have been perfect this season, one of only three undefeated teams heading into the tournament. Unlike the other two (#1 Christopher Newport and #2 Transylvania), Webster is not ranked due to a weaker schedule. Still, an undefeated season is impressive no matter how you slice it. They are a high-volume scoring team, averaging 87.9 points per game which is the second-highest mark in NCAA. Defensively, they are sound as well, limiting foes to only 61 points per contest. Addison Beussink, the SLIAC player of the year, is the leading scorer at over 18 per game.
