  • SET UP
  • Rhodes is through with SAA play, but will sneak in a tune-up doubleheader vs. Jackson-based Lane College on Tuesday before the conference tournament begins on April 22. .

  • The Lynx went 1-2 in their last set of action against Centre. They will enter the SAA tournament as the #5 seed. After a hot start, followed by a cold streak, the team has shown improvement on both sides of the ball. Madison Keller has strong numbers from the circle, leading the team in both ERA and strikeouts. Injuries have ravaged the offense, but KT Siekerka has been a mainstay atop the season stats. She leads the team in average at .394, and RBI with 20. Hannah Grace Roden is on a nine-game hitting streak, and ranks in the Top 5 of the conference in steals with 16.

  • Rhodes saw their ten-game win streak snaped last weekend, and ended up losing the series to Millsaps. They are in the thick of the race for a Top-2 playoff seeding, which would give them home field advantage for the conference quarter and semi finals. Sitting one game in front of them in the standings are the Berry Vikings, hosts for this weekend's series. In an effort to pad their strength of schedule, coach Cleanthes also added a midweek matchup against nationally ranked LaGrange for next Tuesday.

  • The Lynx are coming off a Tuesday win over Christian Brothers, giving thm some momentum leading into the weekend. Nick Ferazzi and CJ Carron have been great on the mound for Rhodes, keeping them in each ballgame that they start. Carron in particular has been fantastic, currently second in the SAA with 74 strikeouts in only 46 innings of work. On offense, John McNair added another home run t his season total, giving him a tie for the SAA lead in both dingers (8) and RBI (38). Ben Wilson has a hit in 13 of his last 14 games, including four games with three or more knocks.

  • SET UP
  • Rhodes took a pair of road losses last week at Centre followed by a double-overtime heartbreaker at Sewanee. They have two chances to improve their playoff seeding this week, with a road game at Berry (6-6, 1-4 SAA) and the season finale at home against Hendrix (6-6, 2-3 SAA).

  • The Lynx had their hopes of hosting a playoff game dashed when they dropped both games last week. Still they can fight for seeding, and will look to end the regular season strong. Christian Cisneros continues to be an inspiration, coming back from last year's injury to lead the team in assists (21) despite playing in only eight of the team's 13 games. Drew Downes and Ryan Dancy are the leading scorers with 25 and 17 goals, respectively. On defense, freshman David Hart and seniors Alexi Thomas and Ryan Farrell have all stepped up in the past few weeks to limit the number of shots seen by keeper Brendan Roberts.

  • SET UP
  • Rhodes clinched their sixth consecutive SAA regular season title with a dominating 23-4 win against Oglethorpe last weekend. They look to finish undefeated in SAA play for the fifth straight year in their season finale against Berry on Friday.

  • The Lynx have once again established themselves as the class of the Southern Athletic Association. They currently rank third in the country by scoring 248 goals in 14 games. The catalyst to the offense is junior Emily Bruner, who leads all of Division-III in assists, and was recently named the SAA Offensive Player of the Week. Baylee Barker broke the 50-goal mar last week, and Payton Bennett (47 goals) will look to do the same this week. Emma Bradley is only allowing 8.42 goals per game this season.

  • The Lynx showed well at the Harding University Bison Open last week. Maddie Chandler was especially impressive on the women;s side, claiming first place in the long jump and second in the javelin. Her performance earned her the SAA female field athlete of the week.
