  • SET UP
  • Rhodes won their final regular season game against Hendrix, giving them the #3 seed in the SAA tournament. They will travel to Berry College where the #2 Vikings will also host #6 Millsaps and #7 Centre in the double elimination format.

  • Rhodes (23-16-1, 12-9 SAA) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx had an interesting end to their season. Their final week of play included a win over #4 LaGrange on the road, a pair of losses at home to Hendrix, and an epic comeback win, 18-16, over Hendrix on senior day. The table is now set for the Lynx to chase the tournament championship. Their first foe will be Millsaps, who took two of three from Rhodes at their place earlier this year. Rhodes' offense is a different animal now compared to then, however. Dante Messina is just shy of the .400 mark for the season, sitting at a .396 average with 31 runs and 28 RBI. Seven other Lynx starters are hitting over .300, with Will Heurtin just missing the cut at .289. For the year, Rhodes is slashing .316/.409/.432, providing plenty of offense. The pitching staff has had some incredible outings, and also had some poor ones. Nick Ferazzi and CJ Carron are as good of a 1-2 punch as you'll find in the SAA, but they need to be in command of their pitches. They will also need to go deep into games as the bullpen has been a bit shaky as of late. Should the Lynx advance past Millsaps, they will face either Berry (1-2 record vs. them earlier this year, outscored 29-13) or Centre (3-0 record vs. them earlier this year, 16-7 run differential).
  • SCHEDULE
  • Friday, April 29, 7:00 pm EST vs. #1 Centre | SAA Semi-Final | Danville, Ky.
  • Sunday, May 1, 1:00 pm EST vs. Sewanee/BSC | SAA Championship | Danville, Ky.

  • SET UP
  • Rhodes won their opening round matchup against #5 Berry last week in a convincing 19-10 home victory. The rest of their season will be an uphill battle on the road. They face the #1 seed Centre Colonels on Friday, and would then take on the winner of #3 Sewanee vs. #2 Birmingham-Southern on Sunday for the SAA Championship.

  • Rhodes (4-12, 3-3 SAA) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx ended their regular season on a high note with a dominating win over Hendrix, 17-8, and then carried that momentum into the following weekend with a 19-10 comeback win over Berry. The Lynx were down 6-4 at halftime, and proceeded to score 12 goals in the third quarter to take control of the game. It was a full team effort, with a dozen different Lynx scoring a goal. To date, Rhodes has six different players with at least ten goals with freshman Drew Downes leading the charge at 29. Christian Cisneros is the points (39) and assists (30) leader on the team. Brendan Roberts has 14 saves in each of his past two games with a 61% save percentage. Rhodes lost 11-4 in their previous matchup with Centre on April 8.
  • SCHEDULE
  • Sunday, May 1, 12:00 pm vs. Sewanee | SAA Championship | Memphis, Tenn.

  • SET UP
  • To the surprise of absolutely no one, the Lynx are in the SAA championship game for the sixth straight season. After receiving a first round bye, they dismantled Birmingham-Southern 26-3 in the semi-finals. They will need to get through Sewanee to claim their sixth straight title, a team they defeated 20-6 earlier this year.

  • Rhodes (13-3, 6-0 SAA) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx are chasing history once more, tryng to go undefeated in conference regular season and tournament play for the fifth straight season. Baylee Barker is the likely SAA Player of the Year for the second time. The senior racks up points (62 goals, 12 assists), but is also a beast on draw controls, collecting 93 on the season. Payton Bennett joined Barker in the 50 goal club last week, and is up to 51 (plus 21 assists) on the season. The offense is controlled by Emily Bruner, whose 90 assists lead all of NCAA Division III. The Lynx have outscored SAA opponents 162-25 in seven games.
  • SCHEDULE
  • Friday, April 29, 10:00 am vs. #4 Birmingham-Southern | SAA Quarterfinal | Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Saturday, April 30, 10:00 am vs. TBD | SAA Semi-final | Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Sunday, May 1, 10:00 am vs. TBD | SAA Championship | Murfreesboro, Tenn.

  • SET UP
  • Rhodes enters the SAA tournament as the #5 seed following a split of their two road games last week, one of which was a loss to Birmingham-Southern, their first round oponent in the tournament.

  • Rhodes (7-14, 3-4 SAA) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx stumbled a bit down the stretch, droping three of their last four. Still, they have plenty of talent and strong leadership at the top of the depth chart. Daniel Trudell has played from singles one all season, earning a 12-7 record and a Top 25 regional ranking. Justin Bobo has been right behind him, picking up seven wins from position two. Gabe Williams, who scored the lone point for Rhodes against BSC last week, is second on the team with ten singles wins, all from court three. For the Lynx to have a chance, they will need a point or two from doubles play, where they have been outscored 42-21 this season.
  • SCHEDULE
  • Friday, April 29, 1:00 pm vs. #6 Birmingham-Southern | SAA Quarterfinal | Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Saturday, April 30, 1:00 pm vs. TBD | SAA Semi-final | Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Sunday, May 1, 1:00 pm vs. TBD | SAA Championship | Murfreesboro, Tenn.

  • SET UP
  • Rhodes wrapped up their regular season with a pair of wins last week, taking out Millsaps and Birmingham-Southern with identical 7-2 scores. Their only two conference losses this year came at the hands to the top two seeds, Sewanee and Berry.

  • Rhodes (13-5, 5-2 SAA) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx ended the season strong with big wins at Millsaps and at Birmingham-Southern, who will be their first-round opponent. This is the third time this year they have had a winning streak of at least three games. Rhodes has an impressive 65-42 record in dual match singles play. Spots two through six all have a winning percentage of .500 or better, regardless of who is lining up to play. Four girls ... Julia Darkey, Emily Holderness, Lea Letourneau, and Emma McHale ... have more than 10 singles wins each. The Lynx have also had overall success in doubles play, going 31-22. Letourneau and Holderness have eleven wins as a duo. A win against BSC would match the Lynx up with the winner of #2 Berry/#7 Oglethorpe.
  • SCHEDULE
  • Friday, April 29, All-Day | SAA Championships | Mount Berry, Ga.
  • Friday, April 30, All-Day | SAA Championships | Mount Berry, Ga.

  • Rhodes | Men's Roster | Women's Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lynx will be favorites in a number of events during the action-packed two-day event. On the men's side, Jared Briant will be a contender in all distance running events, with a special focus on the 3000 steeplechase. He currently holds the program record in the event, and has the second-fastest time in all of D-III. Maddie Chandler is looking to make her third NCAA appearance, and currently has the best scores in the SAA for the long jump, triple jump, and javelin.
