Shane Watson, a 6’3” O'Fallon, IL native, enters his first season with the Lynx after an brilliant career at O'Fallon Township High School (O'Fallon, IL), an Illinois Class 4A team under Head Coach Rick Gibson.  Shane was a 2-year letter winner and 1-year varsity captain. As a senior, Shane was named to the 2nd All-Conference team and 3rd Belleville News Democrat All-Area team. Shane was honored by being named to the Ramey All-Star Metro East team and Belleville East Southwestern Challenge All-Academic team. While at O’Fallon, Shane was part of a history making team, setting the record for most wins in a season (30) and the first ever Southwestern Conference champions in school history. The team won their first appearance in the All-State Tournament of Champions, finished second at the Centralia Holiday Tournament, won the Southwestern Challenge Tournament, and went on to finish 4th at the Illinois State Tournament.

Shane plans to major in Computer Science.
