Kory Kilpatrick, a 6’5” junior from Cedar Shoals High School (Athens, GA), begins his 3^rd season at Rhodes. Kory’s strong defense and offensive versatility allows him to guard multiple positions, secure rebounds on both ends of the court, and shoot from long range. During his freshman year, Kory started all 19 games he appeared in, and averaged 7.3 points and 7 rebounds. His sophomore campaign included 5 double-doubles, and Kory was ranked 2^nd in SCAC for defensive rebounds and 4^th overall, his career high being 17 rebounds. Kory’s 22 points in the Lynx game against Oglethorpe remains his career high. “Kory is a proven interior performer in the SCAC. We will be small and inexperienced, so his past performance and experience will pay huge dividends this season. He has worked hard to get in shape and is ready to take over a larger offensive role,” says DeGeorge.

At Cedar Shoals, consistently ranked in Georgia’s AAAA top 10, Kory was a 4-year letter winner and 3-year starter, averaging 16 points and 9 rebounds his senior year under Head Coach Ron Link. Kory scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a triple overtime win for a regional championship, and sank 2 game winning free-throws to send Cedar Shoals into the Final 4 in the Georgia state playoffs.
                Aside from basketball, Kory is a Business major, and is contemplating a minor in math. Kory plans to study abroad in Spain or Belgium on a Maymester program.
