The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recognized programs across the country for their excellence in the classroom, announcing the recipients of the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award.

Rhodes College was among the programs honored after maintaining a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

Rhodes was one of six Southern Athletic Association institutions to earn the distinction, joining Berry, Millsaps, Sewanee, Southwestern, and Trinity. The AVCA Team Academic Award recognizes volleyball programs that demonstrate a commitment to academic success while competing at a high level on the court.
