Rhodes College Intramural Handball Rules

Rules: NO CLEATS ON THE FIELD TURF

1. Teams are allowed up to ten players on the field at a time, including a goalkeeper. Teams may not have less than 8 players.
2. Each game will consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute half-time.
3. Players may not kick or dribble the ball.
4. Players may not take more than 3 steps with the ball or hold the ball for more than 10 seconds. Breaking these rules will result in a turnover.
5. Once a player receives possession, they can pass, hold possession, or shoot.
6. Only the goalkeeper can step inside of the semi-circle surrounding the goal.
7. Anything considered a personal foul is up to referee discretion. A called foul will result in a turnover. Repeated fouls or aggressive behavior may result in ejection.
