Biography

Cory returns to Rhodes after a junior season where he was named to the second team All-SCAC, and finished second in scoring, averaging a team high 18.1points (471 total points). Cory’s 1,081 career points rank him 23rd all time in Rhodes College history. Cory is a very explosive, athletic guard, who can play either guard spot. His smooth outside shot and ability to get the basket, along with his excellent perimeter defense will continue to make him a major contributor this season. Cory came to Rhodes after a stellar career at Bartlett High School in Bartlett, Tennessee. Cory is the son of Charles Smith and Ronda Curry, and will graduate in the spring with a History degree. Cory’s favorite thing about Rhodes College is “the small community where professors, advisors and coaches care about your success and future.” Cory’s favorite thing about Lynx Basketball is “the comradery between players.”
