Women's Track & Field Compete at WashU

The Rhodes Women's Track & Field team traveled to St. Louis, Missouri this weekend to compete in the WashU Invitational, facing a competitive field across all divisions. The Lynx delivered an impressive weekend highlighted by multiple personal bests, season bests, and several top finishes.

Sprints & Hurdles

Rhodes had a strong showing in the sprint events, led by senior Olivia Freeman, who placed 4th in the 100m with a time of 12.09. Freshman Tatum Duncan followed closely, finishing 6th in 12.24, and also added a 5th-place finish in the 200m with a time of 24.84.

Freshman Tanilya Clark contributed across multiple events, running 12.53 in the 100m and 26.85 in the 200m. She also stood out in the field events, recording a season-best mark of 5.21m to place 3rd in the long jump and adding a 10.10m jump in the triple jump.

Junior Shannen Alack led the hurdle group, placing 8th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.57, while also competing in the 100m hurdles (17.50). Alack also delivered a standout performance in the high jump, clearing a season-best 1.61m to place 2nd overall.

Distance Highlights

The Lynx distance squad produced a number of strong performances, highlighted by several personal bests in the 1500 meters. Sophomore Elena Gentry led the group with a 7th-place finish in 4:50.44, while junior Riley Imbornone (4:58.14), sophomore Nina Brown (5:02.54), and senior Ellie Spears (5:04.06) all recorded personal bests.

Additional personal best performances came from freshman Ali Di Lenardo (5:08.07), Anna Daso (5:15.12), and Caroline Bailey (5:22.07), along with senior Emma Henager (5:33.93). Senior Claire Bramlett added a season-best effort of 5:37.31.

In the 800 meters, Gentry also competed, finishing in 2:27.33, followed by junior Gracie Ebenhoh in 2:31.22.

Sophomore Caroline Wilder delivered one of the top performances of the weekend, placing 2nd overall in the 5000 meters with a time of 19:01.57.

Freshman Kate Hinson-Hume added a strong effort in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing 6th in 12:20.27.

Field Events

Rhodes saw contributions across the field events, led by freshman Andrea Holland, who competed in multiple throwing events. Holland recorded a personal best in the javelin (20.61m)

while also posting marks of 10.50m in the shot put, 12.14m in the discus, and 29.03m in the hammer.

Senior Vivian Kalb added a mark of 16.31m in the javelin. In the pole vault, freshman Nora Rosenberg cleared 2.97m.

Relays

The 4x100 relay team of Tanilya Clark, Tatum Duncan, Shannen Alack, and Olivia Freeman delivered a strong performance, placing 4th with a season-best time of 48.10.

With numerous personal bests, season-best performances, and top finishes, the Lynx continued to show growth and depth across all event groups.

Select members of the distance squad will travel to San Francisco this weekend to compete at a high-level meet, while the rest of the team will remain in Missouri to compete at the Joey Haines Invitational. Rhodes will look to build on this momentum as the outdoor season continues.
