Match Recap: vs. North Carolina Wesleyan University
The Rhodes College women's tennis team bounced back in singles play to defeat North Carolina Wesleyan University 5–2 Saturday afternoon at Leftwich Tennis Center.
The visiting Bishops claimed the doubles point, taking victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Rhodes earned its lone doubles win at the No. 3 position as
Sofia Rodriguez and
Violet Taub secured a 6-4 victory.
Trailing 1-0, the Lynx responded with a strong showing in singles, winning five of six matches to secure the team victory.
Gracie Rask led the charge at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-4 win.
Agda Laakso followed with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 2, while
Lilly Higgins added a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3.
Rodriguez delivered one of the most competitive matches of the day at No. 5 singles, battling through three sets to win 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
Violet Taub rounded out the scoring with a convincing 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
North Carolina Wesleyan's other point came at No. 4 singles in a tight three-set contest.

The Rhodes College women's tennis team secured a 4–0 victory over DePauw University Saturday morning at Leftwich Tennis Center.
Rhodes gained an early edge by winning two of the three doubles matches to claim the opening point.
Agda Laakso and
Lilly Higgins earned a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, while
Sofia Rodriguez and
Violet Taub followed with a 6-2 win at the No. 3 position. DePauw picked up the lone doubles victory at No. 2.
The Lynx continued their strong play in singles, winning the first three completed matches to clinch the team victory.
Gracie Rask delivered a solid performance at No. 1 singles, defeating Elle Loch 6-2, 3-6 before play was halted once the match was decided. Laakso added a dominant 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles, and Higgins secured the clinching point at No. 3 with a 6-2, 7-6 victory.

The Rhodes College women's tennis team delivered a strong performance Saturday afternoon, defeating Hendrix College 6–1 at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
Rhodes opened the match by sweeping all three doubles contests to take the early 1-0 lead.
Agda Laakso and
Lilly Higgins earned a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, while
Gracie Rask and
Claudia Ribeiro matched that score at No. 2.
Sofia Rodriguez and
Violet Taub completed the doubles sweep with another 6-2 win at No. 3.

Taylor Nash battled through the most competitive match of the day at No. 5 singles, rallying after dropping the second set to earn a 7-6, 4-6, 6-1 win.

With the victory, Rhodes capped off a strong stretch of matches during the weekend slate at Leftwich Tennis Center.
