The Rhodes College women's tennis team fell 4–0 to No. 1 Trinity University Saturday afternoon at Leftwich Tennis Center in the SAA semifinals.
Rhodes opened the match by dropping the doubles point, with Trinity securing wins at Nos. 2 and 3. Gracie Rask and Taylor Nash fell 6–1 at No. 2, while Claudia Ribeiro and Violet Taub were defeated 6–2 at No. 3. The No. 1 doubles match featuring Agda Laakso and Lilly Higgins went unfinished.
In singles play, Trinity clinched the match with three straight-set victories.
Lilly Higgins fell 6–1, 6–0 at No. 3 singles, while Sofia Rodriguez dropped a 6–1, 6–0 decision at No. 4. Claudia Ribeiro was defeated 6–0, 6–1 at No. 5 as Trinity secured the team win.
Gracie Rask, Agda Laakso, and Violet Taub were all in progress in their respective matches, while remaining courts went unfinished.
With the result, the team ends their season with an overalll record of 12-6.
