The Lynx traveled to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to race at the Bob Gravett Invitational hosted by Ouachita Baptist University, placing 3 runners under 16 minutes on the 5000 meter course. Senior
Jack Sullivan (15:40) led the Lynx followed by freshman
Anderson Frank (15:47) and junior
Diego Donald (15:52).
Jack Hinds (16:16) and
Max Barcan (16:29) followed closely behind, with
Mercer Murphy (16:33) and
Ian McCormack (16:34) rounding out the top 7. The Lynx placed 11 of 12 runners under 17 minutes showcasing improved depth over last year's squad.
"The guys did a great job over the summer preparing for the season," said head coach
Robert Shankman. "Top to bottom, the team has bought into the process. There was only a 90 second spread from the first to final runner which is very encouraging for the rest of the season."
The Lynx will compete next at the Rhodes Invitational on September 20th at Shelby Farms.
