Senior Hugh Stokes has been named the Southern Athletic Association Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, the conference announced on Wednesday. This marks the second year in a row a Lynx has garnered this award.

Stokes delivered an outstanding season, setting multiple Rhodes records and personal bests. His remarkable performances peaked at the SAA Outdoor Championships, where he won the 110m hurdles with a blazing time of 14.34 seconds and shattered the 400m hurdles record with a time of 52.70. Stokes also broke his own 110m hurdles record, which he had set in the 2023 SAA Outdoor Championships.

SAA Athletes will continue to post qualifying marks for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship, May 22-14 in Geneva, Ohio.
