Rhodes Men's Track & Field Recap – SAA Indoor Championships 2025

The Rhodes men's track & field team showcased an impressive performance at the SAA Indoor Championships 2025, securing multiple podium finishes and top-eight placements across sprints, hurdles, distance races, and field events. Led by Hugh Stokes' championship win in the 60m hurdles, the Lynx accumulated valuable points in a highly competitive meet.


RECAP: Rhodes Men at SAA Indoor Championships

Key Performances:

  • Hugh Stokes defended his SAA title in the 60m hurdles, winning in 8.33 seconds and scoring 10 points.
  • Chyco Williams earned a bronze medal in the 60m dash, running 7.07 seconds and adding 6 points.
  • Daniel Blaich placed 3rd in the 3000m (8:50.68), securing 6 points for the team.
  • Austin Rhea delivered a strong 4th-place finish in the mile (4:24.08), contributing 5 points.
  • The men's long jump trio of Sumay Frueh (6.46m, 5th), Will Magargee (6.43m, 6th), and Jamal Witter (6.41m, 7th) combined for 9 points.
  • The men's 4x400m relay team of Mark Hanson, Hugh Stokes, Bryce Tuchner, and Sumay Frueh placed 2nd in 3:29.62, adding 8 points.

Looking Forward: Rhodes Men Enter Outdoor Season 

The Lynx will shift their focus to the outdoor track season, where they aim to build on their success. The Lynx will compete in Memphis, TN at Rhodes College on March 14th and 15th for thier outdoor opener.
