Senior Pitcher Mick Arney has been named the Southern Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week, following his exceptional performances this past weekend to start the 2025 campaign.

Arney, was used twice this weekend to secure wins for the Lynx. In game one of the series Arney pitched two scoreless innings in relief, allowing just one hit. He returned during the second inning the next day with the bases loaded and the Lynx up by one. He recorded back to back strikeouts to get out of the jam and then threw the next six innings, scattering five hits, three runs and recording six strikeouts in an 8-7 victory.
