Lynx Win First SAA Championship in Program History

Rhodes Men's Swimming and Diving team crushed SAA Championships this past weekend winning them the first SAA Championship in program history!
 
The Lynx dominated earning 898 points with 8 first place event wins!
 
Rhodes also earned SAA honors with Coach Steve Webb earning Coach of the Year for both the Men's and Women's Team. (two separate awards)

Daniel Snyder -  Men's Mile, 200 Freestyle, and 500 Freestyle Champion
Jack Whitten - Men's 100 and 200 Breaststroke Champion (NCAA B-cut)
Jose Garcia - Men's 200 Butterfly Champion
Max Milburn, Will Wertenberger Nick Kunst, and Daniel Snyder - Men's 800 Freestyle Champions
Arthur Bishop, Jack Whitten, Jeb Brownell, and Nick Kunst - Men's 200 Medley Champions (New school record and all-time SAA Record)

Day 1
 
Rhodes won both A and B relays to sit second with 143 points while Centre is third with 131.
 
 Rhodes dominated the swimming events and set a new meet record in the 200 medley relay to start the day. The team of Arthur Bishop, Jack Whitten, Jeb Brownwell, and Nick Kunst posted a time of 1:30.18 to beat the previous record set by Berry last season by .20 seconds.

The Lynx built a score of 337 points to lead second place Centre by 19 points (318).
 
Daniel Snyder powered to a seven-second win in the 500 free, stopping the clock at 4:33.02. 
 
Rhodes took second and third place in the 200 IM with Jack Whitten in second (1:53.76) and Arthur Bishop third (1:54.10).

The Lynx have totaled 636 points through 26 events
 
Rhodes earned 2nd and 3rd place in the 100 butterfly as Jeb Brownell posted a time of 50.45 and Jose Garcia 50.54.
 
Daniel Snyder grabbed a win in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:41.05.

Daniel Snyder got the final day of the championships started by winning the 1650 freestyle in 16:06.61. 
 
Arthur Bishop was second in the 200 backstroke (1:50.83)
 
 Jose Garcia won the 200 butterfly in 1:52.17
