The lynx were on the road this past weekend and took 3rd out of 8 competitors over the 3-days of vigorous competition. The meet had swimmers compete in categories (A, B, C, and D), with the Lynx appearing in the top 3 in nearly every string for each event. In regards to the overall scores, the Lynx were on the podium for 9 events.
In the team events, the Lynx took third for the 200 Yard Freestyle in the A string (
Nick Kunst,
Jeb Brownell,
Jonas Hostetler, and
Benji Cummings) with a time of 1:23.83. In the 400 Yard Medley, the men secured third once more in the A string (
Josh Denckhoff,
Jack Whitten,
Nick Kunst,
Jeb Brownell) with a comfortable time of 3:23.19. The lynx continued to maintain third for the relay events, with a third place appearance for the 200 Yard Medley (
Josh Denckhoff,
Jack Whitten,
Jeb Brownell,
Jonas Hostetler) and a time of 1:30.77, only milliseconds behind second place. Though the lynx were not able to place in the A string for the 400 Yard Freestyle, the B string (
Max Milburn,
Eddie Smith,
Jack Whitten, and
Alex Brann) was able to secure some final points for the team with a great 3:07.41 finishing time.
For Men's Diving,
John Beuerlein dominated the competition, taking first for both the 3 Meter and 1 Meter (567.90 and 548.50, respectively).
Parson Simmons made a top-5 appearance in the 1 meter diving competition with a strong score of 429.55.Â

The Lynx plan on starting off the new year strong as they prepare to fly to Puerto Rico over winter break. The meet will be on January 3rd @ 1:00 p.m. CT, and is bound to have many stand out performances.
