Rhodes had a standout performance this weekend in both swim meets this past Friday, October 4th, and Saturday, October 5th. The Lynx swam hard past the University of the Ozarks Eagles and their second conference competitor, the Hendrix Warriors.
Friday, October 4th: University of the Ozarks
The men took the whole podium for 13 events against the Eagles, with the Lynx have first place appearances for all the events for the men.
First for the team events, the men take the whole podium for the 200 Yard Medley relay and 400 Yard Freestyle relay. In the 200 Medley relay, the A team (Josh Denckhoff, Jack Whitten, Jeb Brownell, and Jonas Hosteler) took first with a time of 1:35.46. The B team (Philip Mu, Benji Cummings, Liam Ashton, Daniel Snyder) took second, 3 seconds behind the A team (1:38.76), and the C team (Aron Maloney, Francesco Assalone, Jose Garcia, Nick Kunst) finished third (1:40.52). In the 400 Freestyle relay, the A team (Nick Kunst, Jeb Brownell, Benji Cummings, Jonas Hostetler) took first with a time of 1:28.10, and had a close second from team B (Jack Whitten, Daniel Snyder, Eddie Smith, Alex Brann) finishing only a second after them (1:29.88).
The Men's Diving team had an exceptional performance against the Ozark Eagles, being the only two divers to represent the entire meet. John Beuerlein took first with 520.75 points total, and Parson Simmons scoring a solid 460.30.

Saturday, October 5th: Rhodes vs Hendrix
The lynx had a strong swim meet against the Warriors, taking the entire podium for 11 events, and having first place appearances for all but one event.
In the team events, the men performed very strongly, securing first and second place points for the team. The A team (same as the one stated above for 200 Medley), swam fast and strong in the 200 Medley relay with a time of 1:34.65. In second place, the mens B team (same as the one stated above for 200 Medley) squeezed past Hendrix only one second ahead of their opponent (1:37.13). For the 400 Freestyle relay, Rhodes fell short of first place, but secured second and third. The Rhodes A team (Benji Cummings, Nick Kunst, Jeb Brownell, Daniel Snyder) came in second with a comfortable 3:12.56, and the B team (Liam Ashton, Eddie Smith, Josh Denckhoff, Alex Brann) finished 3 seconds after them (3:15.99).
The men's diving were the only two to perform for this specific meet, earning more points for the Lynx in the end. JOhn Beuerlein finished with a high 339.50 in the 3 meter dive.

Looking Forward: Rhodes vs. University of Tennessee Southern
Rhodes will be hosting the University of Tennessee Southern on Saturday, October 19th. The teams have faced the Hawks once in the past, ending in a victory for the lynx. The meet is bound to be full of standout performances in the pool, and fans are encouraged to support the team.
