Box Score 2 MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 3, 2022) - Women's tennis felt both sides of the spectrum this weekend, losing to the Berry Vikings 9-0 on Saturday before sweeping the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels by the same 9-0 score on Sunday. Rhodes now stands at 10-4 overall with a 2-1 record in the SAA.

The Vikings secured all three doubles points with relative ease, winning the matches by scores of 8-2, 8-4, 8-4.
All six singles matches went the way of the Vikings as well. Allison Ivey defeated
Esme Benjamin on the first court, 6-2, 6-1. Courts two and three took extra points in a pair of tough matches. On court two,
Michelle Adan-Pol fell in her first set 6-2, but bounced back with a 6-4 win. The tie-break went to Juliana Mascagni, 10-7. On the third court,
Lea Letourneau fell 6-0, 4-6, 8-10. The other three matches each finished in straight sets.

Julia Darkey got things started from doubles three with a simple 8-1 win. Next to finish was Letourneau and
Emily Holderness taking down their opponents, 8-3. On the first court,
Esme Benjamin and Adan-Pol took the point, 8-4.
In singles play, all four matches on courts went to the Lynx in two sets, with the second set finishing 6-0 for each player. At first singles, Benjamin needed extra time in the first set to defeat Izzy Forster 7-6 (6-0), followed by a 6-4 win. On court two, Adan-Pol had a similar outcome against Sydney Dattilo, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
Rhodes will host Centre and Sewanee next weekend at home on Saturday and Sunday.
