Game 1:
The Lynx pounded out 16 hits over six innings in route to a dominating 10-0 win. The scoring began in the fourth with one out when
Hannah Grace Roden doubled down the right field line. With Roden on second base,
Madison Granberry strode to the plate and hit, what appeared to be another double to the same part of the field, but the home plate umpired ruled the batted ball "foul". Despite the controversial call, Granberry stepped back into the box and roped the next pitch to deep center field, this time for a no-doubt double, scoring Roden; giving Rhodes a 1-0 lead.Â
The score remained 1-0 until the top of the fifth when, again with one out in the inning, Rhodes'
Katelyn Siekerka drove a ball to the right side for a single, and later advanced to second on a wild pitch. With Siekerka in scoring position,
Lauren King smashed a double to center field advancing Siekerka to third. With two on, and still only one out,
Marisa Moore worked a 2-0 count before lacing a ball through the left side that plated both Siekerka and King, and pushed the lead to 3-0.
But the Lynx weren't done.
In the sixth, again with a single out in the inning,
Samantha Feinstein got the scoring started with a solo homerun that cleared the left center field fence with ease.Â
Madison Stringfield then singled and stole second before
Katelyn Siekerka hammered a double to centerfield that advanced Stringfield to third. With two runners in scoring position,
Lauren King hit a base clearing triple ballooning the lead to 6-0.  After Hendrix recorded a fly out,
Nikki Greuel singled in King from third making the count 7-0. Â H.G. Roden followed Greuel's single with one of her own before both runners were brought home on a ball through the infield off the bat of
Madison Granberry. Â
Peyton Clark would reach base safely and
Samantha Feinstein would again come to the plate in the inning, this time getting plunked with a pitch. Next up in the hit parade was
Madison Stringfield who promptly sent a ball back up the middle scoring Granberry and making the score, 10-0.
For the Lynx,
Lauren King was exceptional in the circle.  King scattered four hits over six innings, without allowing any runs. Offensively, five Rhodes' hitters recorded multi-hit games but they were highlighted by Stringfield and King recording 3 hits apiece, and
Madison Granberry knocking in 3 runs.
Game Two:
Game two saw an energized Rhodes' squad return to the diamond hoping to build upon the momentum of the first contest. However, it was Hendrix that would score first, scoring a single run in the bottom of the first inning to take a brief 1-0.  Over the next six innings the Lynx offense would score six runs, taking a commanding five run lead in the bottom of the seventh. Although the Warriors were able to push two runs in the bottom of the frame thanks in part to a Rhodes' defensive miscue, the six runs scored by the Lynx were enough to secure a 6-3 win.
Toeing the rubber for the Lynx was junior hurlers,
Madison Keller. Keller would spin 5 innings of 1 run softball before being relieved by Andi Priest. Combined, both pitchers were able to keep Hendrix uncomfortable at the plate while Rhodes' offense continued to shine recording double digit hits for the second straight game.Â
Lauren King,
Hannah Grace Roden and
Katelyn Siekerka all had a multi-hit game while
Madison Stringfield led the team with two runs scored..
