Tunica, Miss. - Rhodes College swimming hosted Sewanee at the GW Henderson Recreation Center Saturday in the final dual meet of the season. The Lynx men came away victorious after winning eight individual events and two relays.
"It's great to end the second half of the season with back-to-back wins entering the championship season," said head coach
Steve Webb.
Rhodes led the day off with a 200 medley relay victory as
Zac Gammons,
Roland Chang,
Arrington Moses and
Harrison Rozman edged the Tigers by .33 seconds.
Evan Ziolkowski followed it up with a win in the 200 free (1:44.10).
Ziolkowski later won the 50 and 500 free races while Gammons won the 200 back after being edged in the 100 back by half a second. Rozman won the 100 free by three seconds before he, Gammons,
Lutfi LaSida, and Ziolkowski won the 200 free relay (1:29.66).
Also taking home wins during the meet were Moses in the 100 fly (55.64), Chang in the 200 IM (2:02.88) and
Ryan Folk in the 1000 free (10:32.32).
Rhodes will travel to Birmingham, Ala. for the SAA Championships Feb. 12-15.
