Box Score 1 Orlando, Fla. - Rhodes College women's tennis won 6-3 over Elizabethtown College Tuesday morning before they fell to Coe College 8-1.
In the morning,
Dasha Safarian and
Caroline Doherty teamed up for the first victory of the day with their No. 1-doubles win. Elizabethtown evened the score at No. 3-doubles before the Lynx took the edge at No. 2-doubles as
Tricia Sculco and
Mia Mullen pulled off an 8-6 victory.
Elizabethtown won No. 6 and No. 4 singles to take a 3-2 lead before Rhodes won the final four singles events.
Kayle Thorson's No. 5-singles win sealed the win in her first spring victory.
Later in the afternoon, the Lynx took on a tough Coe College team, but Safarian helped the Lynx avoid the shutout by winning the second set and the tiebreaker over Haley Resnick.
Rhodes will next take on Cedarville Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET.
