MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College women's tennis team dropped their home finale on Sunday afternoon to conference-foe Berry College by the score of 7-2 at the Dunavant Tennis Courts.
The duo of senior
Morgan Wilkins and freshman
Natalie Arnold picked up a nice win at No. 2 doubles, 8-5. However, the Lynx dropped the other two doubles contests, 8-6 each, to fall behind 2-1 going into singles action.
Sophomore
Caroline Doherty picked up a good win at No. 1 singles, winning 6-2, 6-4. Three matches in singles went to three sets as sophomore
Sara Lynn Abbott and freshmen
Madeleine McDonald and
Mary Mullen played terrific, but eventually fell short in three as Berry won the match, 7-2.
Rhodes moves to 8-9 overall and 0-5 in the SAA. They hit the road on Friday as they head to Danville, Ky. for a 4 PM matchup against Centre.
