MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College women's tennis team fell to Oglethorpe University on Saturday afternoon by the score of 7-2 in a SAA matchup at the Dunavant Tennis Courts.
It was a close battle at doubles to start the day as the No. 1 doubles team of sophomore
Caroline Doherty and freshman
Madeleine McDonald earned an 8-6 win. The No. 2 doubles team of senior
Morgan Wilkins and freshman
Natalie Arnold fell just short to the Petrels, 8-6.
In singles action, Arnold continued her excellent rookie season, picking up yet another win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2. However, Rhodes could not come away with any victories in singles action, eventually falling 7-2.
Rhodes moves to 8-8 overall and 0-4 in the SAA. They return to action on Sunday in their final home match of the season, taking on Berry at 9 AM.
