MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College women's tennis team took on Centre and Sewanee this weekend in SAA conference play. They lost to the Colonels 5-4 and suffered a 9-0 defeat to the Tigers.

On Saturday, doubles partners Morgan Wilkins and Sara Lynn Abbott pulled out a tough win against Centre, finishing 9-7. In singles, Wilkins, Abbott, and Annie Thomas won their matches against the Colonels.

Sunday was a tough day fo rthe Lynx women as they lost all the doubles matches.  Thomas fought a hard battle against Sewanee in her singles match, but eventually fell 7-5, 6-1.

The Lynx are now 1-2 in conference play and 6-9 overall. They will move on next weekend to Georgia, where they will face Oglethorpe and Berry.
