BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - In their final regular season matchup, the Rhodes College women's tennis team fell to Birmingham-Southern Panthers on Sunday afternoon by the score of 8-1. The Lynx will be the No. 7 seed at the SAA Tennis Championships.
The Lynx were down 3-0 early on due to injuries and dropped both doubles matches to fall behind 5-0 as BSC was able to clinch the match. Junior
Anna Volkov earned the only victory at No. 2 singles, earning a 7-5, 6-2 win. However, the Lynx couldn't get much else going as they eventually would fall.
Rhodes concludes their regular season at 6-13 overall and 1-6 in SAA play. They will be back in action on April 29th for the SAA Tennis Championships as they will likely take on BSC again.
