HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Rhodes men's tennis team was able to capitalize against Carroll University at the Port Royal Plantation Center.
The Lynx, after having a competitive match against Ithaca, were able to carry that momentum into their match today. The Lynx were up 2-1 after doubles with solid performances by Blatt/Brilliant and Sowden/Vacheron.
Sowden/Vacheron came out to a slow start, getting down a break early in the first four games, but were able to climb their way back. They won the next four games after
Albert Vacheron held a huge game to go up 5-3 and never looked back. They would go on to win the match in comfortable fashion 8-4.
Eliot Blatt and
Greyson Brilliant had a dramatic "come-from-behind" finish against Lamers and Reid of Carroll, winning in the tiebreaker.
