ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Rhodes men's swimming and diving team traveled to Arkadelphia, Ark. Saturday to take on NCAA Division II powerhouse Henderson State University. Henderson State, who currently sits at No. 13 in the collegeswimming.com midseason performance polls, came out swinging. The Warriors took first and second in the 200 medley relay, but the Lynx answered the bell, fighting back to win the first individual event of the day.
Max Miller continued his landmark freshman season, swimming to a hard fought win in the 1000 freestyle, the longest event of the meet. Miller's 10:35.40 established the fastest time he has swum in a dual meet all season. Miller also notched nine points for the Lynx with a first place finish in the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:10.29. Bakari Williams took second in the event.
The Lynx will be back in action for their final home swim meet of the season when they host Hendrix College and Wayland Baptist University on Jan. 30 at 1 p.m in an SAA showdown at the Bartlett Recreation Center.
