Box Score CONWAY, Ark. – The Rhodes softball team fell in the first round of the Southern Athletic Conference tournament on Friday to hosts Hendrix College, 11-3.
 
The Lynx fall to 26-12 while the Warriors improve and advance in the tournament with a 16-20 record.
 
Rhodes went with Forrest Skelton in the circle, who threw for all seven innings, fanning two batters. The Lynx gave up 15 hits off seven errors to find themselves in a hole.
 
The Lynx were the first to get on the board when Jessica Brown doubled down the left field line, scoring Christine Hume. Hendrix had an answer, scoring a run in the next two innings. In the third inning Courtney Williams doubled to right center, scoring both Hume and Erin Parker to regain the lead at 3-2.
 
A big fifth inning gave the Warriors the edge, posting seven runs. Hendrix added two more in the seventh inning to secure the 11-3 win.
 
The Lynx will move to the losers bracket and play the loser of game five tonight, April 25 at 8 p.m.
