The Rhodes College baseball team defeated Victory University 4-2 this afternoon at Stauffer Field. After six innings of scoreless play, Victory put up two runs in the top of the seventh. Rhodes answer with four of their own in the bottom of the eighth, for the 4-2 victory. Freshman LHP
Blake Glauben picked up his fourth victory of the season and sophomore RHP
Thomas Beamish collected his first save of the season. With the victory, the Lynx improve to 20-19 on the season.

Adam Putnam got the start for the Lynx working the first two innings in the designed pitcher by committee outing by the Lynx pitching staff. Putnam allowed two hits and struck out two. Senior RHP
Matt Burnick worked the next three innings, allowing only one hit. Junior LHP
Max Halasz entered the game in the top of the sixth and allowed one hit, while striking out two. Senior RHP
James Todd allowed three hits, two runs, and walked one in his lone inning of work.
Blake Glauben took over for Todd in the top of the eighth and allowed one hit and struck out one.
Thomas Beamish finished off the game for the Lynx allowing one hit, en route to his first save of his collegiate career.
The Lynx offense was led by junior 1B
Strother White who was 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBIs. Senior LF
Channing Arndt was 1-3 with a run scored and walked once. Redshirt sophomore C
Logan Booksh was 1-2 with a double. Senior Matt Killary and sophomore
Josh Keen had pinch hit singles in the bottom of the eighth.
Rhodes will return to action this Friday as they travel to Birmingham, AL for the opening round of the SAA conference championships. Rhodes will take on Berry College at 2:00.
