The Rhodes College baseball team fell to Berry College 4-1 this afternoon in the first game of the 2013 SAA Conference Tournament. Berry jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after two innings and the Lynx were unable to overcome the early deficit. Senior RHP
Jackson Baker took the loss on the mound for the Lynx, falling to 7-5 on the year.
Baker worked 8 innings, allowed 10 hits, 4 runs, struck out 4 and walked 1. The Lynx offense was led by junior RF Patrcik Kilkenny who was 2-4 with a double. Senior LF
Channing Arndt was 2-4 and senior
Matt Burnick was 1-1 and was hit by a pitch.
Rhodes will return to action tomorrow against Centre College. The game will be played at Vestavia Hills at 11:00.
