DANVILLE, Ky. – Rhodes made a big statement Friday night defeating SAA defending champs Centre College on the road 159-132, while the men's team showed a lot of heart in winning three events over the course of the evening.

In just their second competition of the season, the Lynx stormed out of the gates with a strong performance to win the women's 200 medley relay in a time of 1:55.30.  The relay of Corinne Nabors, Elizabeth Medved, Ann Griffin, and Allie Zeidan set the tone for what would be a complete performance.

Kelsey Wilson led the charge, winning all three of her individual events, while Sarah Young and Mary Portera pitched in with two individual wins.  Wilson took first in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events.  Her time of 1:59.43 in the 200 is currently the top time in the Southern Athletic Association.  Sarah Young took both backstrokes, Mary Portera won both diving events, and Elizabeth Medved took a come from behind victory in the 200 breaststroke.

On the men's side, seniors Alex Rejaee and Matt Washnock turned in stellar performances to lead a gritty effort from the young Lynx.  Rejaee was victorious in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, and Washnock held on to touch first in the 200 freestyle.

The Lynx return to action Saturday Nov. 16 in Columbia, Ky. as they take on Lindsey Wilson College.
