The Rhodes baseball team took a double header from visiting Oglethorpe.  Rhodes won the first game 2-1 behind an outstanding pitching performance by junior RHP 
Jackson Baker.  The Lynx took the second game 8-3, as senior RHP 
Austin Carden collected his 7th win of the season.  Junior DH 
Matt Burnick led the Lynx offense going a combined 4-5 with a double, triple, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and walked twice.
In the first game, junior RHP 
Jackson Baker improved to 5-4 on the year and earned his fourth complete game of the season.  Baker worked all seven innings allowing four hits, one earned run, walked three, and struck out six.  In the second game, senior RHP 
Austin Carden worked eight innings, allowing six hits, 2 earned runs, no walks, and struck out 5.   Senior RHP 
Remick Smothers finished off the game working a perfect ninth inning for the Lynx.
The Lynx offense was paced by junior DH 
Matt Burnick in both games.  Burnick was 1-2 with a double, drove in a run and walked once in the first game.  Also in the first game, juniors 1B Matt Killary and SS 
Lynden Pindling were 1-3 with a double.  Junior LF 
Channing Arndt was 1-3 with a run scored, and sophomore 2B 
Stewart Martens was 1-2 with an RBI in the first game.  In the second game of the double header, Burnick was 3-3 with a triple, two runs scored, two RBIs, and walked twice.  Senior CF 
Travis Perkins was 1-3 with 3 runs scored, stole two bases, and got hit by a pitch.  Junior SS 
Lynden Pindling was 2-4 with a double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs, and walked once.  Sophomore 3B 
Strother White was 2-5 with 2 RBIs in the second game.
The Lynx are now 18-12 on the season and 4-4 in SCAC play.  Rhodes will finish their three game set with Oglethorpe tomorrow at 1:00.
