Lynx Take Double Header from Sewanee

Game 1 Recap and Box Score
 
                The Lynx moved to 24-13 (8-5 SCAC) today after taking the first game of today's doubleheader against Sewanee. Junior RHP Jackson Baker (7-4) earned the victory allowing 4 hits and 1 walk over 5 solid innings work, picking up 6 strikeouts along the way. Seniors Remick Smothers and Chris Skoda worked the final two innings en route to a 10-5 victory.
                The Rhodes offense came out firing on all cylinders. The Lynx were paced by sophomore 3B Strother White, who went 3-3 on the day with 2 runs, an RBI, and 1 stolen base, to go along with Junior OF Patrick Kilkenny's massive day at the plate. The Lynx right fielder finished just a home run shy of the cycle with a run and 2 RBI's. Senior CF Travis Perkins was devastating on the base paths, adding 3 stolen bases and 3 runs scored to his 1-3 performance.  
 
Game 2 Recap and Box Score
 
                The Lynx bats remained hot in the second game as Rhodes picked up another win in the back end of today's doubleheader. Sophomore RF Patrick Kilkenny was big again, going 3-5 with an RBI and a run scored. Sophomore 2B Justin Genter was 2-4 on the day with 2RBI's and 2 Runs, and Matt Burnick added to the offensive onslaught with a 2-4 day of his own (2R, 2RBI).

                Senior RHP Austin Carden moved to 8-4 on the season after 5 2/3 innings of work, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks en route to a 13-3 victory. The Lynx move to 25-13 on the year (9-5 SCAC) after today and will play their final game of the regular season tomorrow afternoon at 1:00PM.
