The Rhodes College baseball team split Saturday's double header with Millsaps, dropping the first game 7-2, before taking the second game 8-3.  Senior RHP Austin Carden took the loss for the Lynx in the first game and junior RHP Jackson Baker earned the victory and junior RHP Stuart Voges collected his second save of the year in the second game.

In the first game of the day, senior RHP Austin Carden worked 5 2/3, allowing 12 hits, 7 runs, no walks, and struck out 5, as he fell to 7-3 on the year.  Junior RHP Stuart Voges threw the final 1/3 of an inning for the Lynx.  Junior SS Lynden Pindling paced the Lynx offense going 1-2 with a walk and freshman Andrew Wallis was 1-1.

In the second game, junior RHP Jackson Baker improved to 6-4 on the year as he worked 6 innings, allowing 10 hits, 3 earned runs, walked one, and struck out 3.  Sophomore LHP Max Halasz entered the game in the bottom of the 7th and recorded the first two outs before handing the ball over to junior RHP Stuart Voges.  Voges collected his 2nd save of the year working 2 1/3 innings, as he allowed 1 hit, no runs, no walks, and struck out 1.  Junior C Matt Shaw led the Lynx offense going 2-4 with a homerun, run scored, and 3 RBIs.  Junior SS Lynden Pindling was 1-2 with a double, run scored, 2 RBIs, and walked twice.  Junior DH Matt Burnick was 2-5 with a triple and 2 RBIs.  Sophomore RF Walker McWherter was 2-2 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, and walked 3 times.  Freshman LF Andrew Wallis was 2-4 with a run scored.

Rhodes will complete their 3 game set with Millsaps at 1:00 on Sunday.
