Game 1:

Game 1 saw Lynx freshman hurler Forrest Skelton take to the field and turn in a dominating, 2 hit, complete game shutout against conference foe, Sewanee.  Skelton was a model of efficiency within the circle earning her 5th win while striking out 10 Tigers along the way.

Offensively, in the bottom of the1st inning, Skelton helped her own cause with a lead off single and later plated the competition's first run.  In the 2nd, Rhodes added 2 more runs when senior Kelli Zomer hit in junior third baseman Katie Stich on a double to the left center gap.  Two pitches later, Zomer scored when junior shortstop Megan Matthews hit a double, this time to right center.  The Lynx got an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th inning when senior right fielder Elise Suna hit her first homerun of the season to dead center.

The 4-0 win moved Rhodes to 9-7-1 on the season and 1-0 in SCAC play.

Game 2:

Freshman lefty Madison Moreland recieved the call in game 2 for the Lynx and pitched 2 strong innings of 2 hit softball, allowing 1 run.  Relieving Moreland was senior Chelsea Peters, who pitched the remaining 3 innings before the game was called due to league mercy rules.

Offensively, the Lynx picked up where they left off during game 1.  In the bottom of the 2nd inning, the Lynx tied the ball game at 1-1 when sophomore Courtney Williams belted a double and was later scored on a fielder's choice.
In the 4th inning, it was Suna and Zomer, again striking with an extra base shots, this time a triple by Suna and a follow up double by Zomer to move the score to 2-1 in favor of Rhodes (Zomer would later scored making the count 3-1 Lynx).   In the 5th, 7 straight Rhodes' batters reached base, sparked by an infielder single by sophomore DP, Jessica Brown.  The bottom of the 5th saw the Lynx plate 6 runs, the last 2 runs coming off of a 2 out, 2 RBI, triple by sophomore Amber Hunt ending the contest at a score of 9-1.
