Rhodes College Softball opened their 2012 campaign with two exhibition games against Southwest Community College, also located in Memphis, TN. 

Game one saw Senior hurler Chelsea Peters begin the contest for the Lynx, and Freshman pitcher Forrest Skelton finish it, as Rhodes' sluggers pounded out 16 hits in a 5-4 win. 

Game two saw Sophomore pitcher Jessica Becher begin the game and Freshman Forrest Skelton again used to finish the contest, as the Lynx posted a 6-3 come from behind win to complete the Sunday sweep.

The two wins were complete team efforts as all seventeen members of the 2012 squad saw action throughout the contests. 

Next weekend Rhodes will play host to a full slate of games as their 2012 season officially gets underway when Maryville College (TN) and Berry College (GA) visit the campus.
