Lynx Fall to Wabash

The Lynx fell to 5-2 on the season today after dropping the final game of their 3 game set with Wabash College 11-10. Offense was abundant this afternoon, as the Lynx battled the Little Giants, but Wabash's final run in the top of the 9th proved to be the difference.

Freshman LHP Josh Olejnik made his second start of the year going 3 1/3 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits and 3 BBs.  Junior RHP Stuart Voges through 1 2/3 innings in relief, allowing one run on 2 Hits. He was followed by senior RHP Brian Lainoff who went 1 1/3, surrendering 4 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits, picking up 2 strike outs along the way. Sophomore LHP Max Halasz took the loss for the Lynx after putting in 2 1/3 solid innings of work (2 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 3 K's) and Junior RHP James Todd made his season debut, retiring the final Wabash batter of the day.

The Lynx offensive outpouring this afternoon was paced by junior SS Lynden Pindling (2-4, 2 R, RBI, SB), sophomore OF Patrick Kilkenny (2-4, R, RBI), and sophomore 3B Strother White (2-5, R, RBI).  Junior DH Matt Burnick added to the mix with a first inning RBI double, as well as Junior 3B/OF Channing Arndt, who added a pinch hit RBI Double in the Lynx's 5-run seventh.

The Lynx will be back in action this Friday when they travel to Atlanta, GA for the annual Rawlings Classic. They'll play four games over the three day stretch against Emory University, LaGrange College, and the York College of Pennsylvania.
