The Rhodes College baseball team took home a victory in the first leg of today's doubleheader against Wabash College in walk-off fashion, winning 4-3. Senior RHP
Austin Carden earned a no decision in his second start of the season working 6 1/3 innings, allowing 6 Hits, 3 Runs (2 earned) while picking up 5 strike outs along the way. Junior DH/RHP Matthew Burnick picked up the first win of his Lynx career after retiring the final two Wabash batters.
The Lynx offense was paced by sophomore outfielder
Walker McWherter who went 1-2 in the game with 2 runs scored, one RBI and two stolen bases, but the biggest at-bat of the game fell to Junior transfer OF
Channing Arndt. With the score knotted at 3 in the last frame, Arndt stepped in to pinch hit with one out and the bases packed. After falling behind early in the at-bat, Arndt battled, fouling off several pitches before delivering the RBI line-drive single to right that would come to decide to game.

Jackson Baker picked up his second complete game victory to move to 2-0 on the season in the second half the 2 game set today. He allowed 5 hits and 3 walks over seven innings and picked up 4 strike outs over 7 innings of work.

Patrick Kilkenny who went 2-4 on the day with a double and 2 RBIs. Additionally, sophomore 3B
Strother White (1-2, 2 Runs scored), junior 1B Matt Killary (1-2, 1 Run scored), junior C
Matt Shaw (1-2, RBI), and Junior SS
Lynden Pindling (1-3, 1 Run, 1SB) all chipped in for the 5-2 Lynx victory over Wabash. With this, the Lynx move to 5-1 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at 12:00PM (CST) to finish up the three game set with Wabash.
