The Rhodes College Baseball team split Sunday's double header with Huntingdon this afternoon. Rhodes took the first game 2-0 behind an outstanding pitching performance by junior RHP
Jackson Baker. The Lynx dropped the second game of the double header 11-7. Rhodes is now 3-1 on the year.
In the first game,
Jackson Baker threw a complete game shutout in his first start of the season. Baker went all 7 innings, scattered 3 hits and struck out 9 Huntingdon hitters, as he improved to 1-0 on the year. The Lynx offense was once again led by junior 1B Matt Killary who was 2-2 with a run scored and was hit by a pitch. Sophomore OF

Matt Shaw went 1-2 on the day and senior CF
Travis Perkins was 1-3 with a double and a walk.
In the second game of the double header, freshman LHP
Josh Olejnik made his first start of his collegiate career. Olejnik went 2.1 innings, allowing 5 hits, 5 earned runs, 3 walks, and struck out 3. Junior RHP
Stuart Voges relieved Olejnik with 1 out in the 3rd and allowed 2 hits in his 2/3 of and inning of work. Senior RHP
Brian Lainoff worked the next two innings allowing 2 hits, no runs, and walked 1. Sophomore LHP
Max Halasz relieved Lainoff in the bottom of the 6th, allowing 2 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned, 4 walks, and struck out 1. Sophomore
Patrick Kilkenny entered the game 1 out in the bottom of the 7th and went the next inning allowing 1 hit, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and struck out 1. Junior RHP
Matt Burnick relieved Kilkenny with 1 out in the 8th allowing 1 hit.
The Lynx will return to action this Saturday against Wabash at Stauffer Field. First pitch is set for 11:00.
