The #2 ranked Emory Eagles used timely hitting to squeak out a pair of wins against the Lynx earlier today, winning by scores of 5-2 and 5-4.  Rhodes scored first in game 1, with a leadoff single from Kelli Zomer, followed by back to back doubles by Courtney Williams and Sara Bowen and a single from Liv Ryan, but couldn't put any more runs on the board and saw the Eagles battle back for the 5-2 win.  Rhodes scored first again in game 2, this time jumping out to a 4-0 lead after 4 innings, led by a 3-run double by Olivia Ryan in the first inning, but the Eagles took advantage of a Lynx error to score 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th and hold on for the 5-4 win. 

Chelsea Peters took the loss in game 1, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits in 2 innings of work, while freshman Jessica Becher took the loss in game 2, despite giving up just 2 earned runs over 3 2/3 innings of work.  Rhodes returns to action tomorrow in Macon, GA, wrapping up a 6-game, 3 day road trip with a doubleheader against Wesleyan at Noon.
