The Rhodes Men's Tennis Team defeated Sewanee 5-1 Sunday morning at the Sewanee Invitational to improve to 7-1 on the year. Playing in front of a hostile Parent's Weekend crowd, the Lynx secured victories at number two and three doubles to jump out to an early 2-1 lead.
Inclement weather again forced the match indoors, forcing the Lynx to adjust their game to the fast courts. After some shaky starts, the top three singles players for Rhodes won to earn a team victory of 5-1. Senior
Grayson Lucas was playing some of the best tennis of the year, leading 6-0, 4-1 at number four singles before the match was clinched.
The nationally ranked Lynx seem to be hitting their stride as they prepare for a sping break trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
