Sara Bowen makes her second straight appearance on the SCAC First Team as a utility player, and her third overall All-SCAC honor after making the Second Team as a freshman. The junior pitcher/designated player posted a .372 average at the plate, leading the team with 36 RBI and setting the Rhodes single-season home run record by blasting 10 round trippers on the year. Her 426 career strikeouts rank her #1 all-time at Rhodes, breaking the mark of 422 set by Dana Bartolomei from 2005-2008.
Kelli Zomer, a sophomore outfielder, also makes her second straight appearance on the SCAC First Team, having earned the same spot as a freshman. From the leadoff spot in the order, she hit .388 with a .462 on base percentage, belted 7 home runs and drove in 30 runs. She led the team with 37 runs scored, 18 walks, 6 triples, and 4 stolen bases, and was in the top 3 for the Lynx in every offensive category. She broke Rhodes single season record with 6 triples, becoming the career leader in that category as well, and her 54 hits in 2010 rank her second in hits in a single season at Rhodes.
After earning Honorable Mention honors in 2009, Allison Conn moved up to Second Team All-SCAC in 2010. The junior shortstop led the Lynx at the plate with a .400 average, including a school-record 24-game hitting streak to end the regular season. She hit safely in 33 of her 40 games this season, breaking the single-season hits record in the process with 56 hits. In addition, she made just 7 errors in 123 attempts at shortstop to anchor the Lynx infield.
Senior Rebekah Moore becomes the first player in the history of Rhodes Softball to be named All-SCAC four times, earning Honorable Mention as a freshman, Second Team as a sophomore and junior, and Honorable Mention in 2010. After hitting .318 this season with 7 home runs, Rebekah graduates as both the Rhodes and SCAC career leader in home runs, and is also the Rhodes career leader in RBI and hits.
Moore's fellow Seniors Jennifer Whatley and Armanda Venezia each make their second appearances on an All-SCAC team. Whatley earned Honorable Mention in 2008 as a sophomore at 3B, and earned Honorable Mention this season in the outfield, hitting .255 and recording 4 assists from right field.
