Rhodes dropped a pair of SCAC softball games this afternoon to Birmingham Southern, by scores of 3-0 and 10-7. In game 1, the Panthers scored 1 in the first and 2 in the 4th, while Ronni Ferris kept the Lynx bats in check for the second straight day, leading the Panthers to a 3-0 win. In game 2, the Lynx bats came alive, pounding out 13 hits, but could not pull off the win, as the Lynx stranded 11 runners on base and fell 10-7.
Sara Bowen had 3 hits to pace the Lynx, while
Allison Conn,
Rebekah Moore, and
Armanda Venezia each had a pair of hits. Rhodes is off next weekend, before returning to action on Tuesday, April 6 against cross-town rival Christian Brothers.
