Seniors Armanda Venezia and Rebekah Moore, along with Junior Allison Conn and Sophomore Chelsea Peters, have been named girls got game/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes for their performances in the classroom during the 2009 season.
Venezia, a Sociology major with an overall GPA of 3.78, earned a 3.90 last year while Moore, a German major, earned a 3.63 GPA last year, and carries an overall GPA of 3.56. Conn, a pre-medical student majoring in biology, had a 3.60 last year and a 3.53 overall. Peters, a Chemistry major, notched an impressive 3.96 GPA during her freshman year.
For the 2009 softball season, 13 of 14 student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, giving the team a 3.30 overall GPA for the Spring semester.
