Personal: Daughter of Lynn and Jerry Eichhorn, Melanie enters her second year at Rhodes looking to continue to contribute as a distance swimmer.  Aside from swimming she is involved with the Lynx Club and Kappa Delta.  She also hopes to continue on to graduate school after Rhodes to pursue a career working in special education.  It is a little known fact that Melanie was actually a child star in her younger years.
