Rhodes College Athletics

Breanna graduated from Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Georgia. During her career at Whitewater she was awarded AP Scholar with Distinction, was a Governor’s Honors Program State Participant, was awarded the 2012 Daughters of the American Revolution Student of the Year Scholarship, was the 2013 AP Government Student of the Year, 2012 AP English Student of the Year, 2011 Gifted English Student of the Year, won first place in 2011 and 2012 in Georgia Debating Technology and placed sixth in the nation in Debating Technology in 2011. On the field she was honored as the Defensive Most Valuable Player, was honored as a team captain for lacrosse in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and was honored as an All-Area First Team Defense Player in 2013. Breanna is the daughter of Robin and Jacqueline Sommers. During her time here at Rhodes, Breanna is majoring in Political Science/Urban Education and minoring in Art History. She is an active member of Delta Delta Delta and the Rhodes Mock Trial Team. After graduation Breanna plans on participating in Teach for America and pursuing a Master’s Degree in Urban Education Policy.
