Rhodes College Athletics

Maiar graduated from Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee. During her career at Collierville, Maiar was honored athletically for most ground balls on her junior varsity lacrosse team as a freshman, received her varsity letter the following year, received the All-Region Award (All-Star) in 2012 for lacrosse along with the Coach’s Award that same year, received the All-Region Award again in 2013 and was also named the Defensive Most Valuable Player her senior year. She had 61 ground balls her junior year, 90 ground balls her senior year, 8 takeaways her junior year, 40 takeaways her senior year, and 33 face-offs won around the circle her senior year. Outside of lacrosse, Maiar won first place for the University of Memphis Language Fair Skit as a freshman, received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Honors Geometry as a freshman, was a member of Beta Club, attended the Hugh O’Brian Leadership Conference as a sophomore, was a part of Youth Leadership Collierville her junior year, was a member of the Junior Engineering Technical Society, was a member of National Spanish Honor Society, was a Senior Ambassador, graduated Cum Laude, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was President of the Functional Skills Prom Committee. Maiar is the daughter of Yousef and Randa Salameh. At Rhodes, she is an active member of the Muslim Student Association and Spanish Club.
